| In 1974 Tranekær Furniture commenced production of furniture in a former warehouse belonging to the estate Tranekær Castle. The original production of end grain mosaique for table tops connects the name Tranekær Furniture with furniture of excellent craftsmanship. Tranekær Furniture thus should rather be considered an industrialized cabinetmaker's workshop than a traditional factory. Today's production includes a wide range of architect-designed tables and chairs of very high quality for private homes and the contract market. We cooperate with international, well-known designers such as Van Den Berghe, Niels Jørgen Haugesen, Hans J. Wegner and Kurt Østervig. Tranekær Furniture's design policy is permanently developing and experimenting within furniture production - with the highest priority given to top craftsmanship. |
